How these polar explorers go about their business I just do not know, it is fun for a few hours with the knowledge of a hot shower when you get home, but for weeks on end! It looks spectacular although I'll bet you were 'cream crackered' when you got to the top. We've actually had some snow in West Lancashire and for a change it's been deep so we went for a walk along the river over the weekend. Pristine snow is very pretty but it does half destroy your calfs. Been so cold (-12 ish) that our local tidal river had ice on it last weekend - amazing.
