Sea Angling as a Beneficial Pursuit ©; is a programme designed to introduce young people to the sport of sea angling, while also giving the participant an appreciation of the coastal environment, and an understanding of the real need for marine conservation in the modern world.

Interactive in content, incorporating in house presentation, discussion, practical, and field elements, core modules include “An Introduction to Sea Angling, Tackle, Baits, Fish Species, and Methodology”, “An Introduction to the Coastal Environment”, and “Commercial Over Fishing, Cause, Effect, and Solutions”.

An Irish Angler’s World can also deliver the Sea Angling as a Beneficial Pursuit © programme at primary school level through the Heritage in Schools Scheme, which is jointly ran by the Irish National Teachers Organisation and the Heritage Council.

Ashley Hayden has been accepted on to the Heritage in Schools Scheme panel of specialists, is Garda vetted and child protected after completion of the Nine Hour Child Protection Programme, both the latter obtained through Inland Fisheries Ireland.
